But my stack (stack?) was so far from the front of the stage that I couldn’t hear or get to it; the rhythm section were supposedly there but I couldn’t see them; and Mel was in great shape, had got to play.

Rising at 06.46 & a call to Sistery Person Patricia in Las Vegas. Today is her birthday and, since the first child of Edie & Arthur was born in England, her birthday is today in England; and the call, about 22.50 yesterday in Nevada, was therefore Patricia’s birthday.

Butcher Fry was leaving the Village Store but, upon my arrival, we walked the garden & set the world to rights, including the changes in the village such as the construction of a huge extension on the neighbouring cottage, now large house.
